Quality Broodmares are the foundation upon which our breeding program is based. Our program is focused on providing us with Condor mares which we can campdraft and that will also suit our children as they learn to ride, crossing over this GP Stryder bringing back a double cross of Tara in the resulting progeny.

DOONDI BROODMARE SALE:   We plan to travell more with our children in 2008 and as such will not be breeding for the next few years.  Hence we offer our quality broodmares for sale with service fees to either Glenmore Pship Stryder or Ahwahnee Condor.

Meg won and placed in a number of campdrafts campaigned by Jon-Maree up until 1997. Her full sister Ribbon is owned by Trevor Palmer, Ribbon won and placed in over 100 campdrafts. Meg has bred 5 foals, 2 colts sold at Dalby to the Losche family. A filly Gem was sold at Dalby in 2005 $15 500, Doondi Topgun was sold to Pat French and her last foal a colt is currently for sale.

Meg is 14h, but has a big heart, she was always a gamely going mare and was very soft after cattle.  Combined with the lovely nature she has made the ideal broodmare and has produced quick athletic foals by Condor. All foals mature approx 14.3h & Brown/Black in colour.

Quest was broken in by Jeff and then turned out in 96, whilst turned out she injured her leg and afterwards was only ever used for general mustering.  Quest is a 3/4 sister to Bohena Willus who is an open campdraft winner.  Quest has bred five outstanding foals.  Doondi Request is retained in our stud and is the future of our "family" type of stock horse. Doondi Appeal was sold at Dalby 2004 for $8050, Doondi Magnum a classy gelding was bought by Jason Flynn and is now drafting well.  Doondi Select an athletic filly was sold at Dalby 2005 $5500.  Her youngest filly Elite is retained.   Quest is approximately 15hh.  This is a young mare breeding well.

Madeleine (Mads) was purchased by Jack Beresford on behalf of Peter Manchee at the William Inglis broodmare sale in 1996. Mads was our first broodmare as a Christmas gift from Jon-Marees parents.. She is a good type of mare with an easy going temperament to match.  Mads has bred consistently each year with 8 foals born to date (2 died). Three have been sold at Dalby in 2000, 01 & 02.  The last three foals have been filly's, the three year old was sold to repeat buyer Doug Webb using the mares for Polocrosse.  Doondi Sapphire with Sandra Webb won both player and horse awards at the last Nationals. Doondi Jewell was sold to Glenyis MacAlistar at Rockhampton for Polox.
