Impact offers us a third cross of Tara in our breeding program. Our breed line will be to retain select Ahwahnee Condor mares join them to Glenmore Partnership Stryder and fillies retained from these mares will be joined to Ahwahnee Impact. The resulting progeny will have multiple crosses of Tara the strength in our mare line. Look for news on Impact in the coming 12 months his first joining will be to Doondi Diva (Doondi Appeal, GP Stryder) a chestnut mare currently being shown at local shows this year.
Impact is an open campdraft winner from limited starts, he is currently ridden by our children, a credit to this stallions outstanding nature. Impact is 15.3 hh, he is a pleasure to ride and his quiet nature ensures that we continue the Doondi goal to breed all round family type horses.
Doondi purchased an Ahwahnee Impact daughter - Doondi Rhythm during the drought last year, she is an elegant moving mare that tracks her cattle nicely and can keep her legs under her in a turn. Rhythm was sold at Dalby 2005 and was the deciding factor for us to purchase Impact.
Impact will be shown at the 2007 ASH Nationals by Alf and Melissa Copelin, already having success at his first outing for them, winning the first round of the open campdraft at Stroud in April 07.
