DALBY CHALLENGE 2004 - SUCCESS

L - R Sponsor : Jeff Baker & Stryder, Gloria McCormack, Linda Hingst

Glenmore Partnership Stryder

In his first challenge Stryder performed exceptionally well with his strength showing in the campdraft section, Stryder having only been to 3 campdrafts this year is scoring consistently both in the camp and outside.  Stryder scored 85 in working section and 80 in campdraft to win the campdraft and the overall point score in the 3yrs Challenge at Dalby. Our sincere thanks& congratulations go to the Darling Downs ASH Branch & sponsors.

L-R Jeff Baker & Ahwahnee Condor, sponsors Robyn Garney Beresford

Ahwahnee Condor

In his first outing since the ASH Nationals Ahwahnee Condor again showed his style in the working section,

with a score of 88 Condor placing him first in the Open Challenge.  Many thanks to Beresford's saddlery for

their sponsorship of the event.

Condor worked well in the yard in the campdraft section and completed two pegs but cut his gate reducing his scored to just outside the placing's in the overall.   Jeff and Jon-Maree have been campaigning Condor for 2 years and the results speak for themselves, not only in the Showring, Campdrafting but also the Doondi progeny.

Doondi Clients at Dalby 2004

Doondi Ranger - John & Carolyn Fisher ;        John and Carolyn have told us that Ranger is so quiet it's easy to forget he is a colt, at a recent Frank Green cutting school his cool temperament was on show, like his sire he turned on for the cattle work but the rest of the time you'd think he was a gelding says Carolyn.

Doondi Sapphire - Doug Webb ;  Sapphire is playing polocrosse with Doug's daughter Sandra and from all accounts is performing well and possibly will be at the RAS Polocrosse in Sydney next year. All the best  to Sandra and Sapphire.

Doondi Magnum - Jason Flynn ;    Magnum is three years old and has had 3 starts for a top score of 88 & consistent high scores in the camp.  Magnum is again exceptionally quiet, Jason tells us that Magnum is his wife Lea's choice to ride.  The hard part is remembering that he is still only 3!

Doondi Mack - Brian McDonald ; Mack is so quiet it's amazing he never changes even after a spell Mack is the same every time.  Brian reports that Mack adjusted well to the hilly country and looks forward to drafting him again next year.
